Dr Stuart Higgins is a Research Associate in the Optoelectronics Group of the Cavendish Laboratory, University of Cambridge. He works on the SECURE project (Secure tags Enabled by near field Communications United with Robust Electronics) under the supervision of Professor Henning Sirringhaus. Stuart's work focuses on understanding and applying organic materials in the context of printed and flexible electronics.

Stuart completed his PhD under the supervision of Dr Alasdair Campbell in the Experimental Solid State Group at Imperial College London, working on self-aligned, sub-micron channel length organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) and complementary circuits. Before this he completed his MSci Physics with Year in Europe degree at Imperial College London, spending time working at the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics in Heidelberg on the deceleration of highly charged ions.
