Dr David Beynon is a co-investigator of the Single Micron Laser Induced Forward Transfer (SIMLIFT) project, which aims to be a transformative development of the technology, overcoming current limits and refining its resolution to a new reliable level.
David is a Research Officer based in the Welsh Centre for Printing and Coating. Having completed a PhD researching ink transfer mechanisms in flexographic printing David's research interests have grown to include graphics, electronic and functional printed materials. Recent projects have included printed functional devises including electromagnetics, sensors and rheological characterisation of functional inks working in collaboration with academic and industrial partners. David currently works on the Centre for Innovative Manufacture in Large Area Electronics project formulating functional inks for ARPLAE and Flexipower.
